Executive Committee Mentorship Program

🧭 About the Program

The NC RAA Executive Mentorship Program is a leadership development initiative designed to support organizational continuity and prepare emerging leaders for future roles within NC RAA. Through guided mentorship, participants gain direct access to institutional knowledge, strategic insight, and hands-on experience in governance and planning.

This program operates on an ad hoc basis, initiated by the Executive Committee as organizational needs arise.

👥 Who Participates

• Mentors: Current or former Executive Committee members with relevant leadership experience

• Mentees: Emerging or prospective leaders selected by the Executive Committee

Each cycle includes a small cohort of mentees to ensure personalized guidance and meaningful engagement.

• Attend Executive Committee meetings in a non-voting, observational role

• Collaborate on strategic initiatives and planning efforts

• Receive mentorship and feedback from seasoned leaders

• Participate in leadership development activities

• Gain insight into NC RAA governance and operations

📅 Term & Commitment

• Mentorship terms align with the NC RAA conference cycle or specific initiatives

• Participation is voluntary and may be renewed based on interest, performance, and organizational need

• Mentees do not hold elected positions and do not carry voting rights

🔒 Confidentiality

All participants must sign a confidentiality agreement prior to joining the program. This includes maintaining discretion around:

• Strategic planning

• Financial matters

• Personnel-related issues

• Executive Committee discussions

Interested in becoming a mentee? Applications open prior to each cycle. Candidates must:

• Be affiliated with NC RAA (member, volunteer, or committee participant)

• Demonstrate leadership potential and commitment to organizational growth
